Christian Schrefel

Christian Schrefel is more then 10 years managing director of 17&4 Consulting Ltd in Vienna/Austria. Furthermore, he is since 20 years Board Member of Arche Noah, Society for Biodiversity in Schiltern/Austria, as Treasurer. In Wolkorsdorf near Vienna, he is a town councillor for Spatial Planning and Tourism. Since 17 years he is President of the professional network of Ecocounsellors in Europe Vienna/Brusseles.

He is a graduated engineer, with further training in Group dynamics and Public participation (mediation, moderation of large groups). Main areas of activities are: Public Participation, Local Agenda 21 process steering, sustainable management, political counselling, training and strategy building for NGOs and citizens' initiatives. His enterprise works also in energy efficiency, green building and green purchasing. Applied ecology research and managing of national and EU funded projects for the use of solar technology, training for green architects and builders are areas where 17&4 is engaged.
