John Bennett

Based in Cardiff, John Bennett is the Managing Director of the Pack-IT Group. A social entrepreneur, John is experienced in working both within the UK and internationally to help develop social enterprise and Social Firms for disabled and disadvantaged people and is a founding member of Social Firms Wales.

John is busy growing Pack-IT into a global social enterprise brand. Pack-IT has three replications throughout the UK and Pack-IT Melbourne will launch in 2009.

Pack-IT and John personally, have received numerous awards for the growth and diversification of the business and its commitment to a values based culture. John has worked with Government and is a member of the Welsh Assembly Government Social Enterprise Joint Working Group.

John spoke recently to the Brisbane Social Enterprise Hub and made a presentation to Social Ventures Australia in Melbourne on social entrepreneurship and Social Firms development. He has made similar presentations in South Africa, Greece, Slovenia, Spain and throughout the UK and was a keynote speaker at the recent Social Enterprise World Forum in Edinburgh, Scotland.

John is currently Chairman and a director of Social Firms Wales, a member of the Institute of Directors, a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and a graduate of Common Purpose.
