A very wide range of examples of “NGO entrepreneurships” exists, each the embodiment of a different kind of social entrepreneurship and revealing the complexity of the category. Therefore, quite great difficulty of setting up such an NGO in many countries (“a hybrid”, “impossible under my country’s laws”) is not an easy task.
More than other panels, this brought home the individual and social implications of NGO activities. NGOs are not providing goods and services as such, but producing social relationships, which should be considered in itself clear “profit” (that is beneficial for the society). There is a danger of couching “benefit” in solely economic terms.
