Tatiana van Lier

Tatiana van Lier is executive director of the Association of Charity Lotteries in the European Union (ACLEU). Furthermore, she is employed by the Dutch National Charity Lotteries (National Postcode Lottery, Sponsor Bingo Lottery, BankGiro Lottery) where she is responsible for Public Affairs.

She has a Master of Science degree in Public Administration and International Affairs at the Free University in Amsterdam, the Netherlands and at Università La Sapienza in Rome, Italy. After completing the education, she started her career as a project manager and fundraiser for European subsidies, employed by a Dutch NGO in the area of welfare. After that, she returned to the Free University of Amsterdam to work as a researcher at the faculty of Social Sciences. She has implemented as pilot study on lotteries in five European countries with a special emphasis on regulation, liberalization and on distribution of lottery revenues to charitable organisations or to the treasury. This research was sponsored by the Dutch Postcode Lottery.
